With a longstanding history of support for adaptive sports in the Gunnison Valley, the Chris Mikesell Foundation is expanding its reach.  A $1,000 gift to Paradox Sports will help bring together novice and advanced climbers with disabilities at Paradox Ice 2017, an event giving participants a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience ice climbing or improve their skills in a safe and challenging environment. The event is just two hours from Crested Butte in Ouray. By bringing together a community of volunteers and participants with disabilities in a world-class ice climbing venue in the beautiful Western Slope, people with disabilities have life-changing and memorable experiences that enable them to enjoy climbing and the great outdoors when they might not otherwise have the opportunity.
